Learning radio detectors
Note: This example assumes that your radio expander device number is R1-03.
The number may be different on the system you are working on. Make
sure you use the correct expander device number.
1. Enter Installer Menu.

2. Press Y.

3. Press Y .

Add/Del Detectors >
4. Press Y .
The bottom line of the display shows the first of
the radio expanders.
ADD/DEL DETECTORS
Exp. R1-02 (R10)>
5. Press u or n to show the expander you want
and press Y.
The bottom line of the display shows the first of
the radio detector zones belonging to the
selected expander.
The display shows an “*” next to zones where
the control unit has already learned detectors.

6. Press u or n keys to show the zone you want
and press Y.

7. Press Y .
The display instructs you to activate the radio
detector tamper.

8. Open the radio detector and insert the battery.
The act of inserting the battery causes the
detector to send a tamper signal.
The display shows a message to confirm that
you have learned the detector to the selected
zone, together with the current signal strength
of the transmitter.
The keypad also sounds a double “beep” when

Zone 021 SS: 9
